This is a great little book if you have ever thought about being a coach. It is written by two coaches who are not that far up the ladder so has all the insights into the initial things you should do from people who have just been there. It included things I would not have thought about like how to close a coaching sale, legal protection and questions to ask potential clients. It also included information on areas I was curious about like pricing. Well worth a read before investing any more time and effort into this potentially lucrative area.
Melissa Ricker and Sally Miller do a great job in this book, with a clearly laid out, step-by-step approach to making money as a coach. They really help you get clear on your vision as a coach and to define your niche, which is highly important in order to stand out in the sea of coaches that are out there. Most of all, they keep this book very practical and useful by laying out action steps at the end of each chapter, so you're not just absorbing the information, but already have a to do list laid out on what needs to get done to get you on your way to making money.
The idea of life coaching has been in the back of my mind for a while but I felt overwhelmed by the idea of researching and delving into the ins and outs of what that all entails. This book is a great intro for the steps to becoming a coach and really inspired me to explore the possibility of becoming a coach myself.
